UX Designer - research and testing (Baltimore, MD)

Greenridge Maple Financial serves customers across Baltimore with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around payment disputes that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in payment disputes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
