UX Designer - research and testing (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Ridge Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 70 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in claims. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
