UX Designer - research and testing (Austin, TX)

Bluepeak Rook Press Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for bindery work, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 84 people based in Austin. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in bindery work. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
