UX Designer - research and testing (Anchorage, AK)

Summit Sable Community Partners is a nonprofit in Anchorage supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in grant reporting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
