UX Designer - research and testing (Anchorage, AK)

Harborlight Orchard Transit Planning · Anchorage, AK · full time

Harborlight Orchard Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 184 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in fare systems. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
