UX Designer - research and testing (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Rook Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in bindery work. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
