UX Designer - online learning platform (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood Maple Learning Group runs after-school and weekend tutoring for about 4,000 students around the Bay Area, with a growing online platform. We are looking for a part-time UX designer to improve how students and tutors use it. What you will do • Observe tutoring sessions and interview students, parents and tutors. • Redesign lesson pages, scheduling and progress views. • Test each change with real users before release. What we are looking for • Two or more years designing web products, ideally for education. • Understanding of accessibility and how children use tablets. Part-time and remote, about 20 hours a week.
