UX Designer - mobile flows (Richmond, VA)

Bright Loom Insurance is an insurance company in Richmond with claims and service teams, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
