UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Ironwood Keystone Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in San Jose working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
