UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Fernwood Cobalt Community Partners runs community programmes across Des Moines. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
