UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Summit Granite Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Portland. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
