UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Harborlight Maple Community Partners is a nonprofit in Detroit supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
