UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Stonegate West Arts Center is an arts centre in Portland with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around volunteer programmes that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in volunteer programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
