UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Stonegate Fox Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Oakland. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in claims. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
