UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Amberfield Corner Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Virginia Beach, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
