UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Nova Timber Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on mobile flows for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 181 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
