UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Fernwood North Community Partners runs community programmes across San Jose. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
