UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Westbrook Lakeside Transit Planning · Remote · contract

Westbrook Lakeside Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on mobile flows for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 88 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in fare systems. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
