UX Designer - mobile flows (Providence, RI)

Amberfield Ember Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on mobile flows for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
