UX Designer - mobile flows (Portland, OR)

Nova Harbor Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on mobile flows for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fare systems.
