UX Designer - mobile flows (Oakland, CA)

Stonegate Junction Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Oakland. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on mobile flows. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
