UX Designer - mobile flows (Houston, TX)

Nova Lantern Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Houston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around premium billing that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in premium billing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
