UX Designer - mobile flows (Houston, TX)

Cedar North Learning Group is an education provider in Houston serving students and families, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. Families are partners. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around learning materials that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in learning materials. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
