UX Designer - mobile flows (Houston, TX)

Amberfield Nest Community Partners runs community programmes across Houston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would join a small organisation of about 53 people based in Houston. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
