UX Designer - mobile flows (Hartford, CT)

Foxglove Timber Insurance Partners sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Hartford, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would join a small organisation of about 91 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
