UX Designer - mobile flows (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Vista Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Detroit, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would join a small organisation of about 142 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around student accounts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in student accounts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
