UX Designer - mobile flows (Des Moines, IA)

Redstone Orchard Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on mobile flows for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
