UX Designer - mobile flows (Des Moines, IA)

Bright Harbor Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on mobile flows for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 192 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in service alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
