UX Designer - mobile flows (Boston, MA)

Lumen Bright Community Partners is a Boston charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
