UX Designer - mobile flows (Birmingham, AL)

Highbridge Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Birmingham, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
