UX Designer - mobile flows (Baltimore, MD)

Bright Iron Markets is a Baltimore retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around shrink and waste that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in shrink and waste. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
