UX Designer - design systems (Virginia Beach, VA)

Stonegate Wilder Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Virginia Beach, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around production lots that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
