UX Designer - design systems (Virginia Beach, VA)

Northwind Wilder Press is a printer and publisher in Virginia Beach serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around customer orders that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in customer orders. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
