UX Designer - design systems (Spokane, WA)

Redstone Wilder Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for classroom supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
