UX Designer - design systems (Spokane, WA)

We are growing our team at Northwind River Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
