UX Designer - design systems (Seattle, WA)

Ironwood Mill Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Seattle presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 840 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ticketing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
