UX Designer - design systems (San Jose, CA)

Nova Corner Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the San Jose area. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in family communication. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
