UX Designer - design systems (San Jose, CA)

Bluepeak Wren Arts Center Group is an arts centre in San Jose with a full calendar of events, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 262 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school partnerships. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
