UX Designer - design systems (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Corner Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 725 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
