UX Designer - design systems (San Jose, CA)

Bright Meadow Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around San Jose, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 392 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around online orders that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in online orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
