UX Designer - design systems (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Bright Quarry Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around volunteer programmes that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in volunteer programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
