UX Designer - design systems (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Pike Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 748 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around customer complaints that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in customer complaints. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
