UX Designer - design systems (San Diego, CA)

Northwind Thistle Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Design for tasks around licensing records that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in licensing records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
