UX Designer - design systems (San Diego, CA)

Nova Amber Press is a printer and publisher in San Diego serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around print quotes that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in print quotes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
