UX Designer - design systems (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Loom Early Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 84 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in classroom supplies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
