UX Designer - design systems (San Antonio, TX)

Lumen Field Press is a printer and publisher in San Antonio serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in bindery work. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
