UX Designer - design systems (Sacramento, CA)

Highbridge River Markets is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for shrink and waste, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around shrink and waste that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in shrink and waste. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
