UX Designer - design systems (Rochester, NY)

Stonegate Rook Press Partners produces print and digital publications in Rochester, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
