UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Bright Oak Arts Center is an arts centre in Knoxville with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around event logistics that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in event logistics. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
