UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Harborlight Nest Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
